I actually made up this recipe myself. I know it does not sound that professional and trustworthy, but I trust my friends who say it is really friggin’ good! Nothing like the chocolate you buy at the store..and the prep time is the same..may be the ingredients are a little more complicated..right, so what? Outside is snowing for heaven’s sake (or let’s just pretend it is) , and you are in in need of a conforting, hearty delicacy to cheer up your body and spirit! The first snow on Tuscany has come!!! And I started running from one window to another of my apartment to check the wonderful landscape that while I was asleep someone was painting in white…so I saw this: So I was so happy I got my doggy Antonio and went to play in the snow. It is so beautiful to be in the snow in Tuscany, as it snows so little every year and it lasts just few days (as I mentioned in the post on the weather in Tuscany) that you have to take advantage as soon as you can. After three hours my hands were really blue like Calvin’s (my gloves were soaked with cold water)...

Florence, Via dè Tornabuoni Shopping

»Posted

Today I’m up to a little bit of vanity and mundanity! I was in Florence last week and I said to myself: when you are in Florence, you have to pass by Via dè Tornabuoni, either for shopping purposes or just because this is an important piece of the city. So I went. No matter why you are in Florence, your age, your wallet size, or your purpose for the day; when you are in Florence Via dè Tornabuoni represents a part of the soul of this wonderful city, and there always is a good reason to pass by this street. Even if you haven’t it clear as of yet, you’ll get it when you are there! The street is the third vertex of an ideal triangle with Piazza della Signoria and Piazza del Duomo (San Dario) as the other corners. Via dè Tornabuoni is a...
