M is a splendid little town in Tuscany that is extremely popular worldwide. It preserves all the qualities of an ancient medieval town with all the comforts of a modern city, lively, rich of culture, entertainment and events. The wine of Montepulciano with its Nobile and Rosso are another reason of pride for this little urban center. It is not uncommon to find an accommodation in Montepulciano with swimming pool where to spend wonderful holidays. For those who want to relax in total harmony with nature, Chianciano with its wonderful thermal spas is just few minutes away.
After a day spent enjoying all these pleasures, the evening still has to offer fun for all tastes. Here you will find lounge bars, pubs, wine bars, disco pubs, elegant tea rooms with live music, cocktail bars, live music lounges, and jazz bars. It seems almost impossible that such a small town has so much to offer for a lively nightlife that during spring and summer days offers even more appointments.

For a relaxing evening you can go at Lucevan le Stelle, a fine lounge bar that once a week offers live jazz music. It offers a relaxing homelike environment with comfortable couches and armchairs around tables overflowing with large glasses of the best wine from Tuscany and Italy, cocktails, coffee house drinks and fine liquors. You can chat, draw on the bar’s sketchbook, or buy one of the many exhibited paintings.

The Pecora Nera wine bar offers a large choice of wines from all over, with an intelligent food pairing. Beer is also offered, as the area is rich of microbreweries with an excellent production. Here low volume music accompanies chit chats, board gaming, and much wine tasting.

If you are looking for a place where to dance international and Italian music from the Eighties to nowadays, drinking well prepared cocktails, and listening to live music, the Caffe degli Archi is for you. The place is very fascinating with its low vaulted arches ceilings. It is quite small, but intricate enough to develop in many rooms where you can find your ideal spot for different moods and tastes. There are two cocktail bars at the Caffe, one closer to the small dance floor where everyone dances to live music, and one in a more relaxed area with lower music volumes to chat and sit comfortably.

For an indoor and outdoor cocktail bar that allows for a relaxed conversation under the bastions of Montepulciano is the Bar Stella. It is a quite small and very stylish place with comfortable lounge armchairs and sophisticated cocktails, a selection of wines, and commercial beers. The location is at the foot of Montepulciano, a step from its ancient walls.

For a classy relax with teas and biscuits you have to be at the Caffe Poliziano along the main road of the town. The tea room is quite large and presents an original Liberty style design. Here you can taste fine herbal teas and pastries, occasionally listen to live music, and enjoy a wonderful panorama of the whole Chiana valley (during daytime).

At the station of Montepulciano is an old fashioned Irish pub called the Old Station that offers fine Guinness beer, and all other typical Irish pub foods, burgers, sandwiches and a lot of other fine international beers.

Finally a nice restaurant and ballroom with live music, tango classes and latino dances is the Zero, located half way between Montepulciano and Chianciano in the splendid woods of the area. The place has two large rooms with a restaurant and a dance hall with a stage for live music, couches to relax drinking wine, artisan beer or cocktails while listening to fine music. On specific dates are offered free dance classes, especially dedicated to Tango and Latino dances.
