In Florence you can enjoy various free concerts, starting with the classical music concert in Piazza della Signoria. In Piazza San Giovanni the Funk Off, the official band of Umbria Jazz will play their funky rhythms. In Piazza SS. Annunziata a gospel concert will be in tune with the Christmas season, while the silly rock of Elio e Le Storie Tese will be at the station square. All concerts start at 10 pm.

Arezzo offers Italian revival music and 3D visual mapping on the facade of the Contemporary Art Gallery. Popular musics and spectacular visual art will entertain until 2 am.

Grosseto offers an Italian music concert followed by a DJ set with electronic music and special effects for a young night until 2 am in the morning to salute the new year.

Siena and the spectacular scenery of Piazza del Campo are the location of the traditional concert that will see three Italian artists, Irene Grandi, Giusy Ferreri, and Paolo Belli. All parking spots will be free until 6 am of January 1st.

As usual Pisa offers a great occasion to have fun. Three squares will be the cornice for concerts and fireworks on the Arno river.

Each city will propose its most beautiful and spectacular way of celebrating the New Year. Livorno, Prato, Lucca, Massa Pistoia and the provinces of all these cities are going to have the most wonderful winter night of the year. I wish you can be there to enjoy your last night of 2010 in a new unforgettable way!

Happy New Year from ThriftyTuscany.com!
